Day 2

God is faithful with all of His promises. When he says that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us, He wasn’t saying that lightly. I was nervous starting out this summer because I went into it knowing that I wouldn’t be working at camp Jacob. Camp is such a special place to me because it gets me away from society and everything that distracts me from spending time with God. It always jumpstarts me into my school year pumped and ready to go. The past few months I have felt so far away from God, I remember the exact day that I felt it, I felt so oppressed and since that day I felt farther away from God. My fast jumpstarted me again in a spiritual way and gave me boldness that I never had before. So with a willing heart to serve God sent me to the Bahamas to work at Camp Bahamas for about 3 weeks. It was different, but God taught me more in those 3 weeks than I would have learned in a whole summer at camp Jacob. The lessons were about how God will take out junk and make it new. “JUNK 2 NEW”! The kids learned about putting on the armor of God and God showed me this in a whole new light. He renewed my passion for being holy and blameless in front of Him and walking in the light. He has made me a new creature so I can’t still live in the world and expect to see great things by Him.
